Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Buyers Briefing (“we”, “us”) operates buyersbriefing.com. This policy describes what information we collect when you use the service, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Address queries

When you enter an address or neighborhood into the search field, that query is sent to our server to generate your report. If you purchase a report, the search query is stored as metadata on your Stripe transaction so we can identify which report you paid for. We do not build profiles from your searches or share them with third parties.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe may set cookies necessary to operate the checkout flow. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard request data including IP addresses and user-agent strings. These logs are used for security monitoring and are not shared with third parties.

What we do not collect

Third-party data sources

When generating a report, our server fetches data from public government APIs on your behalf — including FEMA, NOAA, the EPA, the FBI, the US Census Bureau, the FAA, and others. Your query may be transmitted to these services as part of the API request. We do not control those agencies' data practices.

Data retention

Search queries attached to Stripe transactions are retained for as long as Stripe retains the transaction record (typically 7 years for financial compliance). Server logs are retained according to Vercel's standard log retention policy.

Your rights

If you would like us to identify and delete any data associated with a purchase you made, email us with the approximate date and address you searched. We will respond within 30 days.
